Silent Art Auction

A family business in Chandlers Ford, started by Andy Street in November 1987 is celebrating the run-up to its thirty-year anniversary in an interesting style. Following his untimely death five years ago, The Picture Framing Shop on Hiltingbury Road is now run by Andy’s daughter Niki.

‘The most used phrase to describe the shop is that it’s an ‘Aladdin’s Cave’ laughs Niki ‘and that’s exactly what it is! Our main business is framing but we’re also filled to the brim with art supplies, crafts, gifts and games. And then there are all the original paintings, limited editions and prints that fill up the downstairs floor.’

With that in mind, for the first time in the shop's history, Niki has decided to make room for exciting new supplies by holding a silent auction. A significant number of originals, limited editions and prints will be included presenting a rare opportunity to pick up a bargain from famous artists such as Mackenzie Thorpe, Doug Hyde, David Shepherd, Clive Meredith, Helen Rhodes, Mick Cawston etc

The auctions will be running on three dates between 10 am and 2 pm – Wednesday 23rd August, Tuesday 5th September and Wednesday 13th September and everyone will be welcome.
